We are delighted to announce that Tracey Fairhurst has raised an amazing £10,250 for the Pink Ribbon Foundation.
Tracey was diagnosed back in September 2021 with an aggressive Her2 Positive breast cancer. She endured 18 weeks of chemotherapy at The Alex, Cheadle, Manchester and then went on to have surgery and finished treatment with a solid month of radiotherapy at The Christie. Tracey's treatment finished in September 2022, and she was "one of the lucky ones in the club that nobody wants to be in", having a full response to treatment and the tumour now gone!
Tracey wanted to give back and do something positive after her treatment and as she was approaching 50, she decided that rather than have a party just for her, that she'd combine this personal celebration and have a charity ball, raising money for the Pink Ribbon Foundation and others affected by breast cancer.
The pink ball took place on Saturday 13th May with 160 guests, a raffle and auction with the most amazing prizes donated from the likes of Porsche, DMR The Jewellers, TK Maxx, Gino D’Acampo and many other amazing businesses who donated.
Tracey is "over over the moon" with the amount raised and the generosity shown by all involved and has already been asked to organise another charity ball. Our thanks to Tracey and everyone who supported her and we wish her continued good health and best wishes.
I'm one of the lucky ones in the club that nobody wants to be in.
