So pleased to have recently attended the 10th anniversary celebration of Move Dance Feel alongside our wonderful Trustee Angie Brignell ✨️
Hosted at the beautiful St Bartholomews Hospital (North Wing), it was a truly special evening bringing together the dance and cancer community to reflect on a decade of impact, connection and care.
Emily Jenkins is an established, international dance artist and founded the Move Dance Feel in 2016 to offer dance to women living with and beyond cancer. Whatever your walk of life, they offer a connecting and artistic experience to help combat loneliness, and allow you to rediscover yourself and find renewed joy in your body.
We were privileged to watch their new 10th anniversary film (launching publicly later in the year) - a moving and powerful piece that goes far beyond dance, reminding those navigating a cancer diagnosis (or the after affects) that they are not alone.
Their latest research shows that 100% of participants said that Move Dance Feel filled a vital gap in cancer care and 92% reported an increase in body appreciation over six months.
A beautiful example of how creativity, movement and community can play such an important role in healing - which is exactly what was discussed at the recent Think Pink Europe X Think Pink Bosna & Hercegovina conference in Sarajevo 💕
Congratulations to Emily and the entire team on 10 incredible years 👏
