Kaizen Medical Clinic take on Tough Mudder to support the Pink Ribbon Foundation

At the start of the year, like many thousands of people, the team at Kaizen Medical Clinic really struggled with lockdown and the worries of working life. Just as things were starting to get better, their Director Lucy got the devastating news that her lovely mum had been diagnosed with breast cancer.

As many of their patients know, Lucy is incredibly strong and doesn't get phased by many things, however as this was already a hard time because of the pandemic, it really affected her, but she was determined to do everything she could to make this experience a smooth one for her mum.

Lucy, being a nurse herself, has been extremely complimentary of the NHS with how quickly and efficient they have been with treating her mum. It was a scary time for the whole family being in the time of the current pandemic. Like many others, treatment and appointments were done alone. Lucy didn't have to think twice in moving her mum into her family home to make sure she got round the clock care and her mum has been so positive and overwhelmed with how everyone has rallied around after her.

So, as a business they began to think how they could show their support ~ and what better than to raise money and awareness for the Pink Ribbon Foundation. Lucy's mum was put through tough challenges by going to all her hospital appointments alone, so #TeamKaizen decided to take on a 10 mile assault course in the name TOUGH MUDDER 💪

We are delighted that the team have exceeded their fundraising target of £500 and have raised over £1,000 to support those affected by breast cancer!!!!
